2013 Iron Bowl officially gets CBS afternoon TV time slot

Kevin C. Cox

Arguably the country's biggest rivalry will host two top-10 teams for the SEC West title.

This year's edition of the Iron Bowl between Alabama and Auburn will be shown Saturday, Nov. 30 on CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET, the network announced earlier Monday.

That news should surprise absolutely nobody, as the Iron Bowl is already one of college football's fiercest rivalry games -- throw in SEC West implications and a top-10 ranking for both Alabama and Auburn, and suddenly you have one of the most compelling games of the season.

That same day, there figure to be similarly tantalizing rivalry matchups, a slate which includes Florida State-Florida at 12 p.m. ET on ESPN and Clemson-South Carolina at 7 p.m. ET on ESPN2. Both times were also announced Monday.

The Bedlam Series between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State on Dec. 7 does not yet have a confirmed time, although it was announced to be either at 12 p.m. ET or 3:30 p.m. ET on either ABC or FOX.
