Update: Bret Bielema says Allen suffered a "deep gash".
Brandon Allen had a "deep gash" after getting cleated on his leg that needed stapling, per Beilema.

Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury during the first quarter of the Razorbacks' game against Auburn. Allen appeared to injure his ankle on a quarterback scramble, but the specifics are still unknown outside of it being a right leg injury. It's unclear how long Allen will be out, but backup quarterback A.J. Derby will take over for now.
Allen injured his shoulder earlier this year against Southern Miss, and missed one week as a result. The Razorbacks have lost five straight games since that win over Southern Miss, due in large part to poor play from Allen and Derby. They were already facing an uphill battle against the 11th-ranked Tigers, but now they'll just have to ride Alex Collins and the running game and hope they can make some stops against the high powered Auburn offense.
