Scott Sewell-USA TODAY Sports

Will North Dakota State get a favorable bracket as they hope for a third straight national title?

The FCS Playoffs are set to take place starting November 30, with the final January 4 at FC Dallas Stadium in Frisco, Texas. But first, it's time to learn which teams will be taking part in the festivities.

The playoffs are expanding from 16 team to 24 this season, with 11 conference champions joined by 13 at-large bids. North Dakota State has to be considered the favorite -- they're the unanimous top team in the poll as an undefeated 10-0, although Eastern Illinois and Eastern Washington should both give them a run for it.

The Bison are two-time reigning champions, defeating Sam Houston State in the title game each of the past two seasons, including last year by a score of 39-13. The Bearkats are ranked No. 9 in the nation this year, and are expected to make the field.

The last non-North Dakota State to win the title was Eastern Washington.
