Bailey played both safety and linebacker with the Trojans, but projects as a safety at the next level and should be a prime target in a draft class that has been criticized as being light in the position. The 6'0, 200-pound defender racked up 62 tackles, 6½ tackles for loss, five picks, six pass deflections and a forced fumble this season.
Bailey posted four tackles in his last game with the Trojans last Saturday in the Las Vegas Bowl, which USC won over Fresno State, 45-20.
An All-Pac-12 second-team selection, Bailey could be the first of several USC underclassmen to declare for the upcoming draft. Wide receiver Marqise Lee is expected to decide soon and could be a first-round pick. Defensive tackle George Uko and linebacker Hayes Pullard are also considering leaving school.
