Auburn, Florida State players all academically eligible for BCS game

Melina Vastola-US PRESSWIRE

The Seminoles may even get a player back for the contest.

Both national title teams will be at full strength when they meet on January 6, as Auburn and Florida State not be without any players due to academic eligibility issues.

In fact, Florida State may even gain an additional weapon to its already-fearsome running back corps, as Mario Pender has regained eligibility after missing the season due to academic problems.

Pender missed the 2012 season due to injury and has yet to carry the ball in his FSU career.

With grades coming in between the end of the regular season and many bowl games, academic eligibility issues can be a concern for some of the top-level teams. Ole Miss senior wide receiver Ja-Mes Logan is expected to miss the Music City Bowl .
