Ka'Deem Carey, Brett Hundley, and Johnny Manziel may have each gone out with a flourish, and one game turned December 31 from a dud into a classic.

Manziel and A&M hold off Duke in NYE shootout

Duke's offense: A++ will score again

After one half of football, Duke has put 365 yards and 38 points on an SEC defense. It's technically an SEC defense. Technically. Barely. Maybe.

The telestrator has this one right:

Though A&M might've been dinged a + for only scoring a field goal at the end of the half. That's okay. The Blue Devils get ball next.

Manziel: 'What's going on??'

The Blue Devils are winning the Chick-fil-A Bowl, 14-3, in the first. Therefore:

Whatsgoingon_mediumIt's not entirely clear what Johnny Manziel was befuddled by here, but if it wasn't the score, it was likely something that contributed to it.

The big Sun Bowl breakdown

Virginia Tech's defense is incredible, and the Hokies can make your defense look pretty good, too. Can UCLA drag the Sun Bowl's scoring into the 20s? Just saying: the Sun Bowl (Dec. 31, 2 p.m. ET, CBS) was the site of the last 3-0 bowl ...

The big Chick-fil-A Bowl breakdown

Expect a shootout in the 2013 Chick-fil-A Bowl (Dec. 31, 8 p.m. ET, ESPN), where both Texas A&M's and Duke's offensive lines (and quarterbacks) hold solid advantages. Still, A&M's advantages are a little bigger, and the Aggies should win as a result.

The big Liberty Bowl breakdown

In 2013, Mississippi State pulled a 2012 Rice, improving late in the season to reach a bowl and get its coach off of a relatively hot seat. Can the young Bulldogs ride quite a few defensive advantages to a seventh win that seemed quite unlikely two months ago? (Dec. 31, 4 p.m. ET, ESPN.)

The big 'Independence' Bowl breakdown

The offenses go about their business in different ways, but both Arizona and Boston College will be wanting to run, run, run in the AdvoCare V100 Bowl (Dec. 31, 12:30 p.m. ET, ESPN) in Shreveport. Arizona's a better team, but if the BC offensive line holds up, this could be a ground-based shootout.
