Florida State Attorney Willie Meggs will announce Thursday afternoon whether Florida State quarterback Jameis Winston will be charged over an alleged sexual assault incident, according to the Tallahassee Democrat's Jennifer Portman and others.
Earlier Wednesday, reports came out that the investigation had been finished, meaning the fact-finding portion was complete. Last week, the Tallahassee Police Department released a timeline of events surrounding the case, which reports the case was first brought to police attention exactly one year ago this Saturday.
Florida State will play Duke in the ACC Championship Game Saturday, and would play in the national title game in January with a win against the Blue Devils. Winston is considered a heavy favorite for the Heisman Trophy award. For more coverage, be sure to check out Tomahawk Nation.
