Spring college football 2013: Alabama, Texas, Oklahoma, Michigan updates

Rick Osentoski-US PRESSWIRE

Spring football rolls along with updates for the Alabama Crimson Tide, Texas Longhorns, Oklahoma Sooners and Michigan Wolverines.

Michigan

The Wolverines suffered a critical blow when backup quarterback Russell Bellomy tore his ACL. The injury to the backup to Michigan quarterback Devin Gardner occurred on Friday and was announced Monday.

Michigan will likely have to turn to walk-on Brian Cleary as their potential backup. The only other scholarship quarterback who could back up Gardner down the line is Shane Morris, but he has yet to step on campus as an incoming freshman from the 2013 class.

Oklahoma

Texas

Burnt Orange Nation has numbers from the Texas spring game. David Ash completed 17 of 24 passes for 162 yards, with two touchdowns but also two interceptions. There wasn't much separation from the running backs corps, with Malcolm Brown, Joe Bergeron and Johnathan Gray all rushing for more than 30 yards.

Alabama

Washington

There are multiple questions coming from spring camp. The Huskies get set to move to an up-tempo offense, and it'll be really critical to figure out whether Keith Price can keep up in it to stay the starter. There are early questions about who will be the new free safety, kicker and
