Confirmed new Buffalo Bulls uniforms show off 'New York' rebranding

Buffalo is in New York. The Bulls' new jerseys will tell you as much.

The University at Buffalo is going through a rebranding phase this summer, and the football team will have a slightly different uniform to go along with those efforts. The new patch above the numbers clearly accentuates NEW YORK, which is different from previous jerseys that just said BUFFALO.

We reached out to UB to clarify whether these would be the new game uniforms, and indeed they are. The school has been working to redefine itself as the premier public institution in the state of New York, and this is certainly one way to do so.

The Bulls will also be wearing new helmets this year, though the change is somewhat slight. The new helmets are blue with the white UB logo, but now have a matte finish instead of a shiny one.
