Even by college football recruiting standards, this story is unusual -- Jordan Hoiem, a consensus three-star DL/LB prospect in the class of 2014, decided to quit football altogether. Hoiem committed to play for the Oregon Ducks in March.
Just confirmed with Hoiem. The Oregon commit has indeed decided retire from football. He won't play at Oregon or anywhere else ever again.— Rob Cassidy (@Cassidy_Rob) July 29, 2013
Oregon commit Jordan Hoiem quit fb because: "I didn't love it. I just had no fun. I just know football doesn't make me happy."— Dieter Kurtenbach (@dkurtenbach) July 29, 2013
That's got to be a tough realization on some level. Go find what does make you happy, man.
