TV schedule for TCU vs. Texas Tech and the rest of Thursday night college football

A Big 12 battle headlines the slate on Thursday night.

There are three college football games scheduled for Thursday night, and all three will be televised nationally.

The top matchup of the night will pit No. 24 TCU at Texas Tech. With the schools being separated by just 300 miles, there will be some serious territorial bragging rights up for grabs. Add in that it will be the first conference game of the year for both schools and the stakes get even higher. With quarterback Casey Pachall undergoing arm surgery this past weekend, look for Trevone Boykin to make the start under-center. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.

Troy heads to Arkansas State for a Sun Belt Conference showdown. Both schools are expected to compete for bowl game bids in 2013, and if the first two weeks of the season are any indication, there will be no shortage of offense on Thursday night. Arkansas State is averaging 35.5 points through two games, ranking ninth in the nation in rushing. Troy, on the other hand, is coming off a 66-point performance. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU.

Over on Fox Sports 1 at 7:30 p.m., Tulane takes on Louisiana Tech for their first Conference USA game of the year. Both schools are 1-1 on the season, with Tulane coming off a crushing 41-39 loss at home to South Alabama. Look for both teams to really try pushing the pace offensively.
