Jaborian "Tip" McKenzie, one of four players kicked off the Vanderbilt football team after being charged with multiple counts of sexual battery and aggravated rape, is back on the football field. McKenzie transferred to FCS Alcorn State, though he isn't listed on the team's roster yet, and he participated in the Braves' game against Mississippi State last week.
McKenzie and the other three players were booted from the team by James Franklin in late June, less than a week after the alleged incident at an on-campus dorm occurred. The four also were suspended by the university at that time.
The charges are still pending, and the players are due in court on Oct. 16.
McKenzie finished his first Alcorn State game with just one reception for four yards, though he did pick up 80 yards on three kickoff returns. The Braves lost the game, 51-7. They will be back in action this weekend against Mississippi Valley State.
