The arrest relates to a Sept. 16 incident. Dixon allegedly assaulted a 21-year-old man because he thought the man was breaking into his home. The victim suffered minor injuries to his face.

Dixon, one of Baylor's top defensive players, is third on the team this season with 17 tackles, and the 6'0, 205-pound senior has also added one tackle for loss, one pass breakup and one blocked kick. Last season, Dixon compiled 102 tackles -- again, third on the team -- 5.5 tackles for loss, three pass breakups, two interceptions, two quarterback hurries, and one sack.

Over at Our Daily Bears, they aren't too concerned with the news as it currently stands:

If that is the extent of the man's injuries and if he did in fact break into Dixon's home, there's very little to this story at all.

Baylor head coach Art Briles hasn't announced what, if any, discipline Dixon will received due to his arrest.
