Georgia RB Todd Gurley injured, out due to left ankle

CBS

One of the Bulldogs' offensive stars goes out with an apparent leg injury.

Update: Gurley's day is done.

Georgia running back Todd Gurley suffered an apparent leg injury in the second quarter of the Bulldogs' game against LSU. Gurley was tackled from behind near the sideline, and got his legs tangled with those of LSU safety Craig Loston. Gurley's right leg planted in the turf, and his left leg -- with the weight of the defender behind it -- whipped into his calf and ankle.

No word yet from Georgia on the nature or extent of the injury, but Gurley was immediately replaced by sophomore Keith Marshall.

Gurley has 73 yards on his first eight carries of the afternoon.

LSU and Georgia are tied at 14 with nine minutes left in the second quarter.
