Alabama-Texas A&M to host College GameDay Week 3, of course

The season's most-anticipated game gets the ESPN treatment.

ESPN's College GameDay will be live in College Station, Tex. next week for the highly-anticipated rematch between Texas A&M and Alabama, according to a tweet from A&M president R. Bowen Loftin:

The Texas A&M-Alabama game has been the subject of incredible hype since the Aggies defeated the Crimson Tide last season. The win propelled Texas A&M quarterback Johnny Manziel to the Heisman Trophy and continued a winning streak that now stands at seven games. The Crimson Tide eventually won the national championship despite the loss.

Texas A&M last hosted GameDay on September 8, 2012, on the day of the Aggies' first conference game as a member of the SEC. It will be the fourth time College Station has hosted the ESPN pregame show, with previous visits in 2000 and 2006. Texas A&M has never been ranked higher for an ESPN visit than it will be next week.

Texas A&M faces FCS powerhouse Sam Houston State this weekend, but ESPN is appartently not worried about an upset. Top-ranked Alabama has the week off.
