The Georgia Bulldogs are pulling out all the stops against South Carolina this afternoon. After really pushing the tempo in their opening drive that resulted in an Aaron Murray touchdown pass to Arthur Lynch and a 7-3 lead, Mark Richt called for an onside kick.
It was successful.
Perhaps the most important aspect of Georgia recovering the kick was forcing South Carolina's defense back on the field. The Gamecocks looked winded against North Carolina last week, especially on the defensive line.
The Dawgs added a field goal on the ensuing drive to make the score 10-3 after converting on a 4th-and-13 situation. South Carolina is leaving UGA's tight ends wide open and it's costing them greatly.
