One of the key players in Auburn's latest recruiting class has been arrested.
Kalvaraz Bessent, a four-star cornerback from Kingsland, Ga., was charged with three drug-related felonies after a traffic stop, via the USA Today.
Bessent and three other men have been charged for possession of more than 20 grams of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say 202.5 grams of marijuana were found in the car, as well as a hand gun. No charges have been filed relating to the gun, police say.
Bessent is considered the seventh-best player in Auburn's 23-player class by the 247sports composite. He was originally committed to Alabama, but flipped to Auburn in December and was expected to compete for immediate playing time.
