Andrew Brown Named Virginia Gatorade POY

Not surprisingly, Andrew Brown has been chosen as the best high school football player in the state this year. Brown has led his team to a 13-0 record and a berth in the state semifinals. Brown plans to enroll in Virginia in January.

Tigers Devour Virginia 59-10

The Tigers were shaky for about 1.5 quarters but took care of business against the fighting Pergolas. Anytime you put up 90 plays and 600+ yards of offense and hold the other team to 10 points is a...

The View From Scott: Ball State Edition

Pathetic crowd + pathetic game = pathetic View From Scott. That's the theme of this week. Disappointing.

Vegas ACC week 4 odds: Clemson hits the road

After rising in the national polls, the Tigers will hope to avoid a letdown against a wounded NC State team.

Hoos should be riding high into Week 2

A great defensive performance in a big win leaves Virginia in a nice position headed into the Oregon game.

Eli Harold Is a Freak Athlete At DE

Despite being raw and undersized, Eli was one of the most productive DLs we had last year. He's only getting better, and he's now in a defense that can really utilize his athleticism. Harold could have a breakout season at DE.

Mike Moore Ready to Go at DE and DT

As a bigger DE, Moore has tremendous athleticism, a trait he probably got from his QB dad. Because of the Hoos lack of depth at DT, Moore will likely be asked to slide down and play inside in certain situations. He's also the backup strong-side DE.

Kwontie Moore Will Be a Beast at MLB

For now, Moore is behind Henry Coley on the depth chart. Coley has the edge in experience, but Moore is a better prospect. Depending on Moore's progression, Moore could end up taking over. This could push Coley back to OLB or to the bench.

Trent Corney Has Bigtime Potential

Still very raw, Corney possesses outstanding speed for a guy his size. He's also a record setting javelin thrower, with the strength you'd expect. That type of athletic profile makes him an intriguing prospect all over the field. For now he's at DE.

Marco Jones Should See Time at Both DL Positions

Jones is listed on the roster as a DT and the depth chart at DE. While this confusion may not help his overall development, it means he can step in at both positions if needed. That flexibility will be key on a team with little depth on the DL.

Stephen Lawe Has a Last Chance to Impress

Entering his 4th year in the program, Lawe hasn't yet seen the field. If he is unable to break through this year, he is unlikely to be invited back for his 5th season. Not with the scholarship crunch that looks to be hitting the Hoos this offseason.

Senior DT Brent Urban leads the DL

Brent Urban has been through two coaches, and a position change. He's been a part of one good season and two bad ones. He's now in his final year, and would like to go out a winner. He will be a big part of this team's success.
