BC vs. BU hockey: Game time, TV schedule and more

When Boston College and Boston University renew their heated rivalry, a national audience gets its first look at Hockey East's marquee rivalry (sorry, Maine and UNH). Here's what you need to know about the matchup between the ninth-ranked Terriers and top-ranked Eagles:

Who: No. 1 Boston College vs. No. 9 Boston University

When/Where: at Agganis Arena (BU) Friday; at Conte Forum (BC) Saturday; both games start at 7:30 p.m. ET.

TV: Both games will be televised by NBC Sports Network, with Mike Emrick doing play-by-play and Pierre McGuire providing color commentary and analysis.

Social Media: Follow @BCHockeyNews and @TerrierHockey for updates; check #BCvsBU for other, nefarious updates for your analysis from all the experts on Twitter.

Who to Watch: Calgary Flames' prospect Johnny Gaudreau leads the league in scoring for BC, and his linemates Pat Mullane and Steven Whitney have been playing at very high levels as well. Also keep an eye out for Kevin Hayes (Chicago Blackhawks) as well as BC netminder Parker Milner.

On the Terriers' side, pay close attention to forward Wade Megan (Florida Panthers) and defenseman Matt Grzelcyk (Boston Bruins), who is third on the team in scoring. Undrafted sophomore Cason Hohmann leads the team in scoring with three goals and nine assists.

BC leads the season series 1-0, after a 4-2 win over the Terriers at Agganis Arena three weeks ago. Head coach Jerry York could become the winningest coach in college hockey if the Eagles are able to sweep the weekend series and extend their winning streak to 12 games.
