It seemed as if BU was about to start rolling when Evan Rodrigues' wrister from the left face-off circle beat Parker Milner high on the glove side, but Jerry York sent his first line out in response to the goal and Pat Mullane made the decision pay off as he caught Matt O'Connor out of position and halved the Terrier lead with the Eagle's first marker of the night.
Rodrigues' goal came as the result of sloppy neutral zone play, and Danny O'Regan found him open on the half-wall and Rodrigues made it count, but it was just 38 seconds later that Mullane caught a pass from Johnny Gaudreau to get the Eagles right back in it.
With the period drawing to a close, BU and BC will play 4-on-4 for a while heading into the intermission after a BU power play was offset by an interference call on the Terriers.
