BC vs. BU score: Eagles, Terriers tied at 1; Teddy Doherty, Cason Hohmann net first-period goals

Boston College and Boston University are tied at 1-1 after the first period of their Green Line Rivalry hockey battle in the Conte Forum. BC took the early lead with Teddy Doherty's first career goal, even after a John Gaudreau snipe was overturned because Steven Whitney interfered with Matt O'Connor's path to the puck earlier in the period.

Doherty's goal came on the power play after Yasin Cisse was booked for cross-checking at 8:58 of the first period, and was the first power play goal scored by the Eagles in three games, since Patrick Wey scored a power play goal against Merrimack on November 16th.

But it didn't take long for BC to find itself back in the penalty box, as Gaudreau went for a hook and the Terriers' Wade Megan was able to skate right into the heart of BC's defense and find BU's leading scorer, Cason Hohmann, with a nifty spinning pass that Hohmann deposited into an empty side of the net to knot the game at 1.
