Boston College got four power play goals, including two from Bill Arnold, as they put away rival Boston University by a score of 5-2 Saturday night at Conte Forum in Chestnut Hill, Mass.
The Eagles, who had netted 12 power play goals all season, scored a third of that many in just over 36 minutes of play. Teddy Doherty and Michael Matheson also earned power play goals for the Eagles - Doherty's was the first of the freshman defenseman's career.
Brendan Silk scored the fifth BC goal, off a BU turnover in the third period.
Johnny Gaudreau (Calgary Flames) was held without a point for the first time all season, and spent six minutes in the penalty box during the game. In all, 14 minor penalties were called on the night -- eight of them against BU, which gave Boston College a pair of two-man advantages in the second period.
BU travels to UNH on Thursday before hosting Maine on Saturday, and BC doesn't play again until December 29th when they face off with Alabama-Huntsville in the Mariucci Holiday Classic.
