BUFORD, GA. -- At a windy Atlanta Elite 11 QB Camp that featured almost 30 recruits with FBS offers (18 of which had them from BCS schools), it was tough to stand out.
But it was hard to miss Syracuse quarterback commitment A.J. Long. Long, decked out in a Syracuse hat, shirt, shorts and socks, was extremely enthusiastic and competitive. And though he lacked the arm strength on the day to battle the wind like the more elite quarterbacks at the event, it is clear that he really enjoys playing football, and is eager to improve.
Long also showed quick feet during individual drills, something of which the schools recruiting him are well aware.
I spoke with Long for SB Nation Recruiting. Among the topics discussed in the above video are his time at the Elite 11, what parts of his game he wants to improve, his love for Syracuse, his ideal offense and one final school he wants to see to make sure that Syracuse is the right choice for him.
