The Elite 11 Quarterback Camps offer the top quarterback instruction and competition for high schoolers. After all, one in every three Elite 11 finalists are eventually drafted by the NFL. And Friday, the tour makes its stop in San Francisco at the 49ers training facility. More than 60 top QB recruits are expected. Here are a few names on which SB Nation's recruiting team will be keeping a close eye.
Keller Chryst, Palo Alto (Calif.) High School: Chryst is a star in the making. He is the consensus top QB nationally. At 6'3 and 215 pounds he has good size, and his big arm and advanced feel for the game earn him a five-star rating. Chryst holds offers from most major schools, and is strongly considering Stanford, Pitt, USC and Alabama. Let the Andrew Luck comparisons begin, particularly if he picks Stanford.
Jalen Greene, Gardena (Calif.) Junipero Serra High School: The 6'3, 195-pound Greene is a consensus three-star recruit with excellent mobility. He is committed to Boise State.
Manny Wilkins, Novato (Calif.) San Marin High School: Wilkins is a consensus three-star recruit with an offer from Arizona and several other non-BCS schools. He is 6'2 and 180 pounds.
Morgan Mahalak, Greenbrae (Calif.) Marin Catholic School: Mahalak is a bright kid with many BCS offers. The dual-threat, 6'3, 190-pound three-star chose Oregon in early May.
Brad Kaaya, West Hills (Calif.) Chaminade High School: Kaya received an offer from Miami in March and jumped on it in May. The 6'4, 215-pound QB is a consensus three-star recruit.
K.J. Carta-Samuels, San Jose (Calif.) Bellarmine Prep: Samuels is a QB with solid mobility, toughness and the ability to make plays. He chose Vanderbilt in 2012 over an offer from Arizona. KCJS is a consensus four-star recruit at 6'2 and 210 pounds.
Wilton Speight, Richmond (Va.) Collegiate School: Speight is a consensus three-star at 6'6 and 220 pounds. He picked Michigan shortly after National Signing Day.
Coltin Gerhart, Norco (Calif.) High School: Gerhart is an athletic QB at 6'1 and 216 pounds. The three-star holds offers from Arizona, Duke and Iowa State, and if he continues to grow, his recruitment could blow up.
Marcus McMayron, Dinuba (Calif.) High School: McMayron is an athletic QB at 6'2 and 185 pounds. The three-star claims an offer from Arizona.
Cade Apsay, Canyon County (Calif.) High School: The 6'2, 175-pound Apsay claims an offer from Arizona and is rated three stars at this early juncture.
JaJuan Lawson, Petaluma (Calif.) Casa Grande High School: Lawson is a dual-threat claiming an early offer from Arizona. The 6'1, 190-pound QB is rated three-stars.
Drew Doxtator, Henderson (Nev.) Foothill High School: Doxtator claims an offer from San Jose State. Doxtator is 6'3, 190-pounds and is a consensus three-star recruit.
Nick Bawden, Los Gator (Calif.) High School: Bawden doesn't have any offers as of yet, but has intriguing size.
