Manchester City's European adventure is not going well, but their attempt to defend their Premier League title is going significantly better. City sit third, two points behind their red rivals for the league lead and have been managing to get results despite missing David Silva for the last month and not playing at their best. Silva could be back and his potential return would be a huge boost for Roberto Mancini.
Spurs had success in the Europa League shifting to a 4-4-2 formation with Jermaine Defoe and Emmanuel Adebayor up front, but it's believed Andre Villas-Boas will move back to his preferred 4-5-1 formation with Defoe the lone striker. The big question is what Spurs team will show up, we've seen Tottenham look strong in beating United this season and weak in their loss to Wigan. City will no doubt be hoping the second version of Spurs shows up.

Silva, Lescott and Maicon are expected to be fit for the match, but Milner is a bit more doubtful. Of course, all that could change after fitness test before the match, so we'll have to see. Sando is the only player in doubt for Spurs, but he's expected to play.
