Newcastle United vs. Chelsea: Lineups

Stay connected with SB Nation

John Terry returns to the Chelsea starting lineup as Rafael Benitez makes two changes to the side that drew against Reading.

Terry comes in at the expense of Cesar Azpilicueta, with Branislav Ivanovic moving back to right-back, while Demba Ba replaces Fernando Torres up front. Ryan Bertrand continues on the left, while Ramires, Frank Lampard, Oscar and Juan Mata all keep their positions in midfield.

Newcastle, meanwhile, continue with Moussa Sissoko and Mathieu Debuchy, while there is also a place for new signing Yoann Gouffran in the starting line-up. Stranger to see is the sight of James Perch continuing in midfield, although the rest of the team is as expected.

Newcastle United (4-2-3-1): Tim Krul; Mathieu Debuchy, Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini, Davide Santon; James Perch, Yohan Cabaye; Yoann Gouffran, Moussa Sissoko, Jonas Gutierrez; Papiss Cisse.

Chelsea (4-2-3-1): Petr Cech, Branislav Ivanovic, Gary Cahill, John Terry, Ashley Cole; Ramires, Frank Lampard; Oscar, Juan Mata, Ryan Bertrand; Demba Ba.
