Oct 10, 2010 - Will Darrelle Revis And Randy Moss Face Off Again?
Randy Moss was traded this past week to the Vikings, returning to the team where his career originally took flight. Teaming up with Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, eventually Sidney Rice and Brett Favre is something that Moss should look forward to. In Week 2 of the NFL season, Moss beat Darrelle Revis in the endzone and hauled in a touchdown with a one-handed catch. It appears Revis will be making his first appearance since that game, today, but not in his typical role. According to rotoworld.com, Revis will most likely not be used as the main corner to shut down Moss but rather will be utilized in a sort of hover role, allowing him to cover a certain zone of the field. Whether or not Revis is at full health while he plays will be the important part of this match up. At his best Revis can stop anyone, at any time and Moss is one of the best himself.
Jahvid Best, Tony Scheffler, And Nate Burleson Will All Play For The Lions
Last week was a tought one for the Lions. Already having lost Mathew Stafford to a shoulder injury, the Lions feared losing rookie running back Jahvid Best due to injuries of his own. On top of Best once again being available, tight end Tony Scheffler will be playing for the Lions as well, giving the Lions one of the best offensive tight end duos in Brandon Pettigrew and himself. Best will most likely not be healthy enough to repeat his career day against the Philadelphia Eagles but Best will be an important factor in the Lions' offense once again. Having Scheffler in the line up will help take pressure off of Best, who prior to Shaun Hill's most recent performances was the main component of the Lions' offensive threats.
Aaron Rodgers Should Have A Field Day Against The Washington Redskins
The Redskins declared Albert Haynesworth inactive and Ryan Torain is officially starting in place of Clinton Portis, who has been ruled out after separating his groin versus the Eagles last week. The Green Bay Packers seemed to get into a rhythm versus the Lions last week and without Haynesworth the Redskins do not have a "scary" guy in their front three. On top of that, the Redskins already had an incredibly questionable running game before Portis went down and now Torain will be making his first start for the Redskins since being brought up from the practice squad. Haynesworth is inactive following the death of his half-brother, who was killed in a car crash last week.
