Bengals QB Carson Palmer is off to a hot start against the Dolphins, throwing a touchdown to WR Terrell Owens on the game’s opening drive. Palmer lit up the Falcons’ secondary last week for over 400 yards and three touchdowns, while Owens extends his scoring streak to four games.
Owens has caught fire as of late, putting up 412 yards in his previous three games after a slow start. Palmer has been very hot and cold, with three 300-yard games and two sub-200 efforts. He’s thrown multiple touchdowns in four games, with a pair of multiple-interception outings.
A big day from Owens might not be all that surprising, as his last game against the Dolphins was one of his only two impressive games of 2009.
Chad Ochocinco is also on the board early, with two catches for 20 yards. It’s hard to know what to make of Ochocinco’s role in the Owens-enabled Bengals offense, as his only two touchdowns and only 100-yard games came in week one and last week.
