Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford as looked shaky in his first game since week one, completing 13 of 24 with a pick, but he's thrown a touchdown each to WR Calvin Johnson and TE Brandon Pettigrew to put the Lions up on the Washington Redskins. Stafford has a mighty 97 yards halfway through the third quarter, but only trails David Garrard, Carson Palmer, and Donovan McNabb in fantasy scoring today.
Johnson had 47 yards on four catches. Though he hasn't been racking up the yards, except for a 147-yard outburst against the Giants, he now has five touchdowns in his past four games. Pettigrew's score is his second of the year, and with only eight yards on two catches he doesn't appear to be in line for too many more scoring opportunities today.
The Lions aren't giving up on the run, with Jahvid Best getting most of their 16 rushing attempts, but expect the Stafford-to-Johnson connection to produce at least a few more yards today.
