Broncos QB Kyle Orton Is Suddenly A Fantasy Football Superstar

As a lifelong Kansas City Chiefs fan, it pains me to say this: Denver Broncos QB Kyle Orton is a fantasy football superstar right now.

↵

Orton's four-game start to the 2010 NFL season has seen him accumulate 1,419 yards passing. That is almost a NFL record: Kurt Warner had 1,557 through four weeks in 2000.

↵

Here's how Orton has done, by the week:

↵
    ↵
  • Week 1: 295 yards
  • ↵
  • Week 2: 307 yards
  • ↵
  • Week 3: 476 yards
  • ↵
  • Week 4: 341 yards
  • ↵
↵

How's that for a four-week fantasy football line? Orton had a solid year last year, and we heard good reports out of him in preseason, but for him to put up these kind of numbers is still shocking.

↵

The Broncos are 2-2 but, for fantasy football players, the real surprise is that Orton is now a top fantasy football player.
