Fantasy Football News Roundup, Week 14: Colts Austin Collie Likely Out For Thursday

Checking in on the fantasy news of the day for Week 14

--- The Indianapolis Colts are going through a rough stretch, one that is seeing their playoffs hopes falling. One thing that could help, and could help many fantasy owners, would be the return of Austin Collie. Unfortunately, that doesn't look like it's going to happen. Colts owner Jim Irsay tweeted that Collie won't play Thursday night, and they also won't get Joseph Addai back. Bad news for owners of those guys, and bad news for owners of Peyton Manning.

--- Good news for the Titans and any owner who held on to wide receiver Kenny Britt. He's been back at practice this week and looks certain to play against the Colts on Thursday night.

--- Ravens tight end Todd Heap looks like a no-go for Monday night's game against the Texans. Heap pulled a hamstring and hasn't been totally ruled-out, but it doesn't look good.

--- After the Broncos fired head coach Josh McDaniels, there was wide-spread speculation about the status of QB Kyle Orton. Interim head coach Eric Studesville says Orton will remain as the starter, but there are whispers that the Broncos will rely more on the running game. If that's the case, then the big stats Orton was producing could be diminished.

--- In Dallas, it appears the Cowboys are in no hurry to get Marion Barber back on the field. That could mean another game where Tashard Choice could shine. Also, tight end Jason Witten has a high-ankle sprain but finished the game last week, and he expects to play this week against the Eagles.

--- The San Francisco 49ers have made a switch at QB once again. Coach Mike Singletary is going back to Alex Smith for this week's game.
