Fantasy Football Projections, Week 17: Kicker

Projections for the Top 10 kickers in a tricky Week 17 scenario.

Some leagues are still rolling along in Week 17, so we'll continue to pump out rankings and projections. Below are the Top 10 fantasy running back  projections thanks to PlayThisGuy.com.

Mason Crosby, Matt Bryant, Josh Brown,  Adam Vinateri, Garret Hartley and Billy Cundiff could all have a part how the dust settles after Week 17 for the playoffs.

The foot of Crosby, ranked fifth for Week 17, could put the Green Bay Packers into the playoffs and sink the number one seed hopes for the Chicago Bears. Crosby has 108 points on the season for the Packers, who are fighting with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the New York Giants for the last wild card in the NFC. Bryant has the ability to affect not only the number one seeding but also who gets the fifth seed in the NFC. If the Falcons win the number one seed is theirs but a loss could potentially put them behind the New Orleans Saints, and Hartley (ranked ninth), for the NFC South and that same number one seed. Both kickers will have as much pressure as a kicker can have in week 17 of the NFL season.

In a battle of the worst division in the NFL, the Seattle Seahawks and kicker Josh Brown attempt to enter the playoffs at 7-9 over the current division leaders, the St. Louis Rams (7-8). The Baltimore Ravens and kicker Billy Cundiff can leapfrog the Pittsburgh Steelers for the AFC North division title with a win over the lowly Cincinnati Bengals, while the Colts could use the famously clutch leg of Adam Vinateri to beat the Tennessee Titans to possibly move up in playoff seeding.

In the games that have no meaning on the playoffs, David Akers (Philadelphia Eagles) and Sebastian Janikowski (Oakland Raiders) will most likely continue their scoring ways versus the Dallas Cowboys and Kansas City Chiefs respectively. Akers will be kicking for an Eagles squad that will not be playing many of its offensive starters, according to reports coming out of Philadelphia.
