Carolina Panthers tight end Greg Olsen caught five passes for 42 yards in his team's loss to the Atlanta Falcons today. He did not score a touchdown as Atlanta's defense mostly kept the Panthers' receiving options in check all day.
Olsen is averaging 48 yards per game this season with 240 receiving yards and three touchdowns through the first five weeks of the 2011 NFL season, including one touchdown each of the last three weeks.
Olsen is decent option as a fantasy tight end, and was ranked by Yahoo! Sports as the ninth-best tight end to own in Week 6, going up against the Falcons pass defense, which is ranked 28th in the NFL.
