Tony Romo Fantasy Update: Romo Passing On The Patriots

Stay connected with SB Nation

With five minutes left to play, Tony Romo has so far out-dueled Tom Brady. Romo has benefited greatly from the return of Miles Austin. The Dallas quarterback has 286 passing yards on 25 completions in 38 attempts. He has a touchdown and an interception to go with those stats.

Romo entered Week 6 averaging 318.3 passing yards per game with 1273 yards and seven touchdowns racked up through his first four games of the season. In his last time out, he threw four three touchdowns and three interceptions in a loss against Detroit that illustrated the good and bad sides of the Romo experience.

Still, Romo is an elite fantasy quarterback. Yahoo! Sports ranked him as the third-best quarterback to play in Week 6. The Cowboys face the Patriots, who feature the worst pass defense in the league.
