Prior to this week's game, New England Patriots wide receiver Wes Welker was having a record breaking season. Today, Dallas has limited him to just three catches for 24 yards with the game almost over. Welker did manage to connect with Tom Brady for a second quarter touchdown.
Welker was averaging 148 receiving yards a game with 740 receiving yards on the season and five touchdowns through his first five games of the 2011 NFL season. Welker's receiving yards per game is up nearly 100 yards per game.
Welker was ranked by Yahoo! as the 2nd ranked wide receiver heading into Week 6 taking on the Dallas Cowboys who rank 14th against the pass.
