Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner has 62 yards on 11 carries through two quarters of play against the Carolina Panthers. Turner also scored a first quarter touchdown that put Atlanta on the board for the first time in a must-win game against the Panthers.
Through five games, the Turner has has four touchdowns while carrying the ball 84 times for 360 yards. Atlanta has relied more heavily on the pass, to the detriment of Turner's production thus far.
Turner was the fourth-best running back play heading into the week, according to Yahoo!'s fantasy ranking. Against the Panthers defense, Turner was expected to have a breakout game in a matchup that looked to be a shootout on the surface.
