Rashard Mendenhall Fantasy Stats: RB Carries Load For Steelers

Stay connected with SB Nation

Rashard Mendenhall carried the Steelers offense, which only needed 17 points to beat the Jaguars on Sunday. The Steelers running back racked up 146 rushing yards and a touchdown against Jacksonville. In a low-scoring game, that's a pretty good fantasy output.

Mendenhall returned to the starting lineup against the Jaguars after missing the previous week's game against the Tennessee Titans with a hamstring injury. However, this matchup could have been a tough one for Mendenhall since the Jaguars had the 10th best rush defense in the league, allowing just 101 yards per game.

Mendenhall checked in as the 23rd best running back this week, according to Yahoo!'s fantasy rankings. However, he is owned in 98 percent of leagues, which made him a valuable starter.
