New England Patriots running back Danny Woodhead should play Sunday against the Dallas Cowboys despite an ankle injury, according to the Boston Herald's Ian Rapoport.
Woodhead missed last Sunday's 30-21 win over the New York Jets with a left ankle injury that he suffered against the Oakland Raiders two weeks ago. According to Rapoport, Woodhead moved around in all three practices this week without limping and should be ready to face the Cowboys.
The third-down running back has 26 carries for 115 yards so far this season. The Patriots are hampered by injuries in the backfield; BenJarvus Green-Ellis is suffering from a toe injury. The Patriots will look to improve to 5-1 against the Cowboys, who give up the fewest rushing yards per game with only 61.8 yards allowed.
