Miles Austin Status Update: Cowboys WR Will Play, Says He's 100 Percent

Stay connected with SB Nation

The Cowboys and quarterback Tony Romo will welcome back the return of former Pro Bowler Miles Austin this week from a hamstring injury that's kept him out the past two weeks. In fact, the receiver said he's "over it."

"You can be over anything, but then you can get it again, who knows," Austin said of his hamstring, which first flared up on the back end of training camp. "I'm 100 percent. I would say I'm over it."

If those aren't the magic words for fantasy owners, I don't know what are. Maybe "Abra Cadabra" or "Open Sesame," but "I'm 100 percent," there's something truly magical about that for someone who still leads his team in yards after catch despite missing half the season so far.

This shouldn't negatively affect Dez Bryant or Jason Witten — okay, maybe Witten a little — but this should be a significant lift to Romo.
