Earnest Graham Fantasy Recap: LeGarrette Blount Replacement Looks Sharp

Stay connected with SB Nation

Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Earnest Graham put together a strong performance Sunday afternoon as he finished with 109 rushing yards and 22 receiving yards in the Bucs 26-20 victory over the New Orleans Saints. Graham started the game because LeGarrette Blount suffered a knee injury and will likely miss a few weeks.

Kregg Lumpkin received a pair of carries on Sunday, but it appears as thought Earnest Graham is the guy moving forward until Blount returns. Graham rushed for 898 yards for the Bucs in 2007 and is used to handling the rushing load for extended periods. Blount has been quite solid in his first two years in the NFL, but Graham should be able to hold the rushing load down while Blount is absent.

The Bucs host the Chicago Bears next Sunday. The Bears normally stout defense has been leaking a bit at times this season, which could make for a solid matchup on Sunday for Graham. For now, Graham is a solid flex or RB2.
