Jason Witten has rarely been excellent as far as fantasy statistics are concerned, but one would be hard-pressed to find a more consistent tight end over the past few years. That was the case once again on Sunday as his Dallas Cowboys defeated the St. Louis Rams.
Witten had five receptions for 35 yards and a touchdown as he was targeted six times by quarterback Tony Romo. It was his third straight game with a touchdown.
Witten had beenaveraging 83 receiving yards a game with 414 receiving yards on the season and 2 touchdowns through his first six games of the season. Witten's receiving yards per game is up nearly 20 yards per game from last season.
Witten was ranked by Yahoo! as the 3rd ranked tight end heading into Week 7 taking on the St. Louis Rams who rank 15th against the pass.
