Daniel Thomas Status Update: Dolphins RB Expected To Start

Stay connected with SB Nation

Miami Dolphins rookie running back Daniel Thomas seems to have taken the starting running back position from Reggie Bush. Thomas has been dealing with a hamstring injury all year, but in the two games in which he was "healthy" he showed the ability to be a feature back, averaging over 4 yards per carry in both games and catching the ball out of the backfield.

Thomas is listed as probable this week in the Dolphins game against the Broncos, but is expected to start and get the majority of the carries. In his last three appearances Thomas is averaging 20 touches and 83 rushing yards per game. He's averaging 4.4 yards per carry on the season and will be facing a squishy Broncos run defense.
