Rashard Mendenhall Fantasy Update: Steelers RB Provides Little Impact

Stay connected with SB Nation

Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall provided little fantasy impact on Sunday when he went up against the Arizona Cardinals. He had just 13 carries for 32 yards and caught a five-yard pass. it's a bit disconcerting he put those numbers up against the No. 20 rush defense, but then Ben Roethlisberger was throwing all over the place in the game.

Mendenhall has been alternately excellent and ineffective in 2011. He ran for 146 yards and a touchdown last week against the Jaguars, and had 66 yards and a touchdown against the rugged Seahawks run defense in Week 2. But in his three other games this season, he's had 39 carries for 107 yards and just one touchdown — and one of those games came against the Colts.
