Darrius Heyward-Bey led the Oakland Raiders with five receptions for 89 yards, an amazing performance when one thinks about it. Both Kyle Boller and Carson Palmer threw three interceptions each and were a combined 15-of-35. Bey's day could have been better with a touchdown reception, but until the Raiders sort out the quarterback situation, the lack of scoring might persist.
Heyward-Bey came into the week with 345 yards and a touchdown on the year. While the Raiders' passing game had been strong, the ground game was the focus for much of the early portion of the year.
Relief may be coming for Heyward-Bey Owners. With this past week's Carson Palmer trade, the Raiders receivers should see an uptick in production if Palmer performs up to the expectations.
Heyward-Bey was ranked No. 27 among receivers heading into the week by Yahoo! Sports.
