Vincent Jackson entered Sunday's game against the New York Jets with high expectations. Turns out, they were all for nothing. The San Diego Chargers tight end was held to just one catch for 15 yards. Both totals were season lows for a player who has bounced between solid and disappointing performances all season.
Jackson has been Philip Rivers' favorite target in recent years, and 2011 has been no different for the statuesque wideout. But he's vacillated between great games — 10 catches for 172 yards and two touchdowns in Week 2, 108 yards and a touchdown in Week 4 — and relatively pedestrian performances — three games of 63 or fewer yards and no touchdowns.
