Week 8 NFL Injury Report, Thursday: Adrian Peterson, Beanie Wells Return To Practice

We break down the Thursday practice participation report for week 8 of the 2011 NFL season. For more on fantasy football, check out Fake Teams.

NFL teams released their Thursday practice participation reports as they continue preparing for Sunday's week eight contests. The Chiefs and Chargers also released their first injury reports of the week for Monday Night Football.

The updated Thursday reports include some notable changes. Adrian Peterson is back on the practice field as he continues recovering from a foot injury. He sat out Wednesday, but getting back in for some individual drills on Thursday is a good sign. If he is at least limited or a full go on Friday, expect him to be in the starting lineup as usual.

The most surprising limited player was Arizona Cardinals running back Beanie Wells. After early reports indicated he might miss a week or two with a bone bruise, Wells was back on the practice field Thursday. While he was limited, this is still a pretty big step forward. He faces a brutal matchup against the Ravens defense, but if you are short a running back, having Wells on Sunday is better than some of the other options out there. We'll be back on Friday and Sunday with more on this situation.

Teams generally have formal practices Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and release practice participation and injury reports at the end of each session. Monday Night Football teams are a day later. For the participation reports, players are listed as Out (Definitely Will Not Play), Did Not Participate In Practice, Limited Participation in Practice, Full Participant In Practice.
