Acquired at the NFL trade deadline for a late-round draft pick, the St. Louis Rams newest wide receiver, Brandon Lloyd, led his team in receiving for the second week in a row, exactly what he was supposed to do for a team starved for talent at the position. Lloyd caught six passes for 53 yards and a touchdown in the Rams' upset of the New Orleans Saints.
Lloyd had 357 receiving yards on the season with zero touchdowns entering Week 8. Lloyd was averaging 70 yards receiving per game. Lloyd receiving yards per game are down nearly 20 yards per game from last season.
Lloyd was ranked as the 19th ranked wide receiver according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the New Orleans Saints.
