Drew Brees did not have the same kind of game he had last week against the Colts. In an upset loss to the St. Louis Rams, Brees was picked off twice and threw just one touchdown pass. He had 269 passing yards for the day.
Brees is on pace for a career year, with 2,477 passing yards and 18 touchdown passes through seven games leading up to Sunday's matchup with the St. Louis Rams. He was ranked No. 3 in this week's quarterback rankings provided by Yahoo!, and for good reason.
Brees is one of the most reliable starting option in fantasy football. No matter the matchup, you can expect the Saints to air out the ball, and Brees to produce. In Week 7, owners laughed all the way to the win column behind a near-perfect performance from Brees in a 62-7 thrashing of the Indianapolis Colts, throwing for 325 yards and five touchdowns in less than three quarters of work.
