DeAngelo Williams Fantasy: Panthers RB Forgotten In Loss

Stay connected with SB Nation

Despite signing a hefty free agent deal to remain in Carolina, Panthers' running back DeAngelo Williams continues to be a disappointment for the Panthers. In a narrow loss to the Vikings today, Williams ran for just 26 yards on a meager seven carries. He added 13 receiving yards on receptions, but it was an otherwise forgettable day. Jonathan Stewart led  the Panthers with 13 rushing attempts.

Williams had 337 rushing yards and 48 receiving yards on the season with 1 touchdown on the ground and zero in the air. Williams was averaging 48 yards rushing and 7 yards receiving per game. Williams' rushing yards were down nearly 12 yards per game from last season.

Williams was ranked as the 29th ranked running back according to Yahoo! heading into his match up with the Minnesota Vikings.
