DeMarco Murray looked nearly as good against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football as he did in his breakout game for the Dallas Cowboys in Week 7. Unfortunately he didn't get nearly as many opportunities to show his talent, however, as Murray had just eight rushing opportunities as the Cowboys fell behind early.
Murray picked up 74 yards on those eight attempts for a decent average, which was good, but nothing like last week. The brave few who included DeMarco Murray in their fantasy lineup last week were richly rewarded thanks to his record-breaking performance against the St. Louis Rams. Prior to that game, Murray had no touchdowns and his best effort of the season was 34 yards on 11 carries the week before.
Now, Murray is the main running back for Dallas, at least until Felix Jones returns to action. Jones was ruled out for week 8 on Friday, and the oft-injured Tashard Choice got a pink slip from Jerry Jones.
Heading into this game, Murray had 324 yards on 49 carries and a touchdown to go with it. He is ranked as the 12th best running back this week according to Fake Teams, SB Nation's fantasy site.
